Flight-plight of a Woman!
Daughter she fills your heart with joy; then why do some tag
her as a burden?
She came into the world trusting privileged you but her you
abandon.
She was just born, she hadn’t even seen anything, not uttered a
word,
Before that you blamed & deprived her of life & sent
her out of the world.
Her toys as a child were most often the ones rejected by her
brother.
When mom passed her the utensils she forgot the biased father.
Her pained mother taught her by way of stories then, the world
out there is unfair.
There is no time to play. She must learn quick &
independently manage her affair.
As she grew disrespect, discrimination you served her &
topped it with disgust.
Some crushed her; in her affairs others rubbed their nose
& used her for lust.
Pulled her down each time she moved up & then as innocent
men they pose.
Of course she is not perfect & she has flaws. So what she
can go wrong too.
As a wife made her vulnerable, dependent but expected all her
duties due
Has no rights; she has to adjust. It’s only her duty to hold
the family together.
If she fails its disgrace. She bridges differences between kids
& father.
Football kicked from all sides goes out of shape but she is
still dutiful.
What have you seen ,you uneducated, you know nothing. You are
far from beautiful.
Of course these people don't know beauty for them she is just
a keyed toy.
She can’t ask,or question; an unpaid lady & even lesser
than the maid you deploy.
Finally came a generation when a mother trained her daughter
be strong & not docile,
Be self-reliant, independent wear the pants when required; do
it with grace, values & smile.
So now we prefix her shameless, spineless, aspiring man, use
words forbidden.
Term her coy then ask who ripped her innocence? Her toiled
journey is easily forgotten.
Her mistake if she is a woman? Then please remember from a
womb started even your paths
You can’t change this fact & she can’t change you. So Woman
pls respect woman save her from wrath.
Happy Women's Day ! For you every day is speciall value yourself!

Nice one Barkha ! We all talk about brotherhood but do we talk about sisterhood? Hope in this journey women don't be betrayed by their moms, sisters and friends and ideally by all the males in her life! Hope to see such a change in my lifetime ! :)

@ Advaita - True very true ..u summed up the last few lines really well ...Why complain about men when women folks themselves are not sensitive towards each other...lets first unite and understand each other then fight some of those really cruel men! BTW out of curiosity how did u land here?
